David & Michelle Heed, Tanzania
David and Michelle Heed are missionaries in Kigoma, Tanzania with an emphasis on Children’s
ministries. The four main parts of their ministry are:
- Children’s Feeding Programs: done in 12 different villages in partnership with the churches. We do a church service for children with singing, dancing, and games while teaching the word of God. After the service, the children receive something to eat.
- English tutoring for young children (Building an Elementary School): We have a dream of starting an Elementary School in the village of Simbo. We are currently constructing our 4th building which will bring to completion a total of six classrooms and an office. For now, it operates as a tutoring center. The students get lessons four days a week (K-7) in English, math, and science. We want to raise up the next generation of the nation’s leaders, using children who come from poverty and who would otherwise have no chance to succeed.
- Raising up young leaders: We are currently supporting High School students, college students, and others in education for various trades. We are also training up many teachers for both English and Bible.
- Provision for health.: Health insurance is so cheap in Tanzania. An entire family can get health insurance for a full year for only $15 US, which provides unlimited free medicine. The families who choose not to get it, suffer from many preventable illnesses. We have supported 700 families get health insurance this year. We also provide support for 20 children with sickle-cell disease, and we distribute worm medicine to 2,000 children every 3 months when we are able.

WEC (Worldwide Evangelization for Christ) is a multicultural, interdenominational church-planting mission agency, committed to finding new, creative and culturally-relevant ways of doing missions. Missions in this context is challenging. We don’t always get things right but our heart’s desire to is to serve God’s passion in the way he is leading us.
God’s passion is that no one departs from this life without making things right with Him, but many are not hearing that message. The Good News is about how God has made a way to make things right through Jesus!
WEC’s objectives are to share that good news around the world (Reaching People), help gather new believers into churches (Planting Churches), and help churches at home and abroad raise up more workers to fulfill God’s passion (Mobilizing for Missions).

Chuy Mondragon, Mexico
An elderly care facility for homeless seniors, El Refugio has been a free-of-charge facility since 2001. The elderly in Mexico do not receive Medical or Social Security benefits and cannot go to a convalescent home. Many end up living on the street when they are abandoned by family members who don’t have the means or space to care for them. They are then picked up by the Red Cross or local police and very often dropped off on our door step.
We currently have 130 seniors in our care. Our mission is that each of them will know Christ as their Savior before they pass away. We clothe and feed them, drive them to medical appointments, and most importantly embrace them with God’s love.

Help bring the love of Christ to isolated people
People living in isolation are cut off from the outside world, with little to no access to health care, education, supplies, and the hope of the gospel. Our airplanes are the only way many people living in remote jungles, deserts, and mountains have access to life-giving necessities and the love of Christ. You can help us—and the hundreds of churches, missionaries, and organizations we serve—bring help, hope, and healing to the ends of the earth.
MAF people and airplanes serve in the rugged, difficult places of the world that others can’t reach, or choose not to. From the jungles of Africa to the rivers of Borneo, MAF transports Bible translators, doctors, aid workers, the sick and injured, and local evangelists called to take God’s love to their own people.

Irvin & Ruth Schwandt, Kenya
Irvin and Ruth Schwandt have ministered in Kenya under Elim Fellowship since 1976. In 1997 they were requested by the national church group they serve there (Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa — PEFA) to open an orphanage, which is now Rehema (Swahili for “Compassion”) Home. In mid-2011 there were 58 children in the home between the ages of 9 months and 15 years old, about half of whom were HIV positive. Through the grace of God, the Schwandts, with the other workers at the home, have been able to rescue children who were abandoned and orphaned. Some of these children had been tortured by their parents or xrelatives; some thrown in rubbish heaps or public toilets; some abandoned in hospitals or on the side of the road. Through the love and care the children receive, they have found healing to their emotions, spirits and bodies, knowing that they are accepted, valued, loved and encouraged as members of the Rehema family.

The Bible is one of the oldest and most popular books of all time. But is it just a book, or is it much more?
Like you, we believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us — something that everyone should be able to understand for themselves. Bible translation is critical for real transformation: When people encounter Jesus through Scripture in their own language, lives often change in amazing ways! That’s why Wycliffe Bible Translators USA exists: to work with churches, communities and partner organizations until everyone can access God’s Word in a language that touches their hearts. We’ll keep on working so all people — speaking or signing more than 7,000 languages worldwide — can have the Bible in the formats and languages that serve them best.
OUR VISION is for people from every language to understand the Bible and be transformed.
OUR MISSION is to serve with the global body of Christ to advance Bible translation and work together so people can encounter God through His Word.
